Never Miss A Chance To Dance...

A Message From

Samantha Alger

Owner/Director

“I am so excited to have the opportunity to not only fulfill my dance dream, but to help your children achieve their as well. The art of dance has been my passion from a very young age. I’ve danced for more than 20 years, and I’ve loved every minute of it. Dance was my sport, hobby, and an important part of my life growing up.

Dance has taught me discipline, dedication, self-confidence, and respect for myself and others. Along with physical aspects such as poise, grace, and posture, I believe dance is a form of therapy in itself. Moving to a song that you can personally relate to can help reduce stress and provide an escape from life’s hardships.

Growing up, I was given so many priceless opportunities at the Dance Center. I traveled to New York and danced at the Radio City Music Hall with the Rockets. On weekends, I traveled there for workshops and classes. I was Clara, the lead in the Nut Cracker, and the Sugar Plum Fairy in a different performance. I was given lead roles in 42 Street and Oliver Twist.

I was also cast as a dancer in many other musicals, including The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, South Pacific, Anne, and West Side Story. I’ve also performed at multiple amusement parks, festivals, competitions, and local community events.

As time went on, I had the opportunity to work with multiple theater groups and schools in surrounding areas. I’ve choreographed productions of Pippin, Joseph, Aida, Hairspray, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Fiddler on the Roof, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, and The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley. These memories will always be very close to my heart.

As a director, instructor, and choreographer, I hope to share my passion and knowledge of dance and give your children similar opportunities. I am actively certified by Dance Masters of America. Having this certification not only furthers my dance education but also allows me to keep up with new teaching methods to enhance my students’ learning experiences.

I strive to create a friendly and encouraging atmosphere that will allow my students to succeed and go above and beyond expectations. I believe there is nothing more gratifying than watching my students conquer steps and combinations and become so proud of themselves.

I cannot fully express my excitement for moving toward a new year with your children. I am open to any suggestions or comments you may have to improve Miss Sam’s Dance Centre.”

Sincerely,

Miss Sam
