Come to Class Prepared!

Apparel Requirements

All students are required to wear a leotard and tights, and hair must be pulled back for every class.

All students must wear leotards and tights of any color to every class they are enrolled in. Hair must be pulled back in a bun or a ponytail, at the very least. Boys are expected to wear athletic pants or shorts with a shirt and the appropriate shoes.

We at Miss Sam’s Dance Centre believes that these are vital to a complete dance education. If your child is appropriately dressed, they are more apt to have a stronger sense of dedication, commitment, and professionalism. It will also enable instructors to make sure your child is using the correct muscles, body alignment, and posture to minimize the risk of injury.

Warm-up clothing is acceptable on top of leotards and tights for the beginning of class until the muscles are warm and awake. You may purchase leotards and tights through the dancing center, just make sure to get in touch with Miss Sam in Hornell, New York for more information.

We would like to have everyone enforcing this rule by the end of October each dance season. Failure to do so may result in your child being asked to sit out. Occasional mishaps will be taken into consideration, as long as they are not habitual.

Shoe Requirements

It is mandatory to order shoes through the school in order to ensure safety, uniformity, and proper fitting. You will not be able to use that do not follow the dress code for our annual recital.
